A honeymoon in Greece: choose the island that suits you.

Travel guides › Guide · Greece

Greece is white and blue, warm water and long dinners by the sea. But every island feels different. A great Greek honeymoon therefore starts with the right islands, in the right order.

Which island suits you?

A two-week route

  1. Athens, 1–2 nights. Time to land, the Acropolis and a first dinner with a view.
  2. First island, 4–5 nights. Santorini, for example, for the views.
  3. Second island, 6–7 nights. A quieter island to truly slow down.

Tell me your dates and what you're looking for, and I'll suggest a route. See other honeymoon destinations.

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time for a honeymoon in Greece?

Late May, June and September are usually ideal: warm sea water and fewer crowds than in July and August. In summer it can be quite windy on the Cyclades, such as Santorini and Mykonos.

Which Greek island is best for a honeymoon?

It depends on what you're looking for. Santorini for views and sunsets, Mykonos for atmosphere, Crete for space and variety, and the smaller islands for real peace and quiet.

Can you island-hop on a honeymoon?

Yes, but keep it to two, at most three islands in two weeks. Ferries don't always run daily, and every departure takes time. I make sure the order works.

Shall we plan your trip together?

Tell me in a few lines where you'd like to go, with whom and when. I'll reply within two days, with no obligation and no planning fee.
